1. Agreement
These Terms govern your access to and use of Relational Intelligence (“RI”), including demos, APIs, SDKs, and related services. By using RI, you agree to these Terms.
2. Purpose & Appropriate Use
RI is designed to improve communication quality by analyzing and coaching messaging for clarity, warmth, safety, and related relational metrics. You agree not to use RI in ways that cause harm, deceive, or violate privacy or applicable law.
- No generation of unlawful content or facilitation of illegal activity.
- No harassment, targeted intimidation, or exploitation.
- No attempts to re-identify anonymized data.
- No misuse of the service for surveillance without explicit, lawful consent.
3. Accounts & Access
You are responsible for your account, credentials, and all activities under it. You will maintain accurate registration information and promptly update it as needed.
4. Customer Content & Data
“Customer Content” includes text and data you submit to RI for analysis. You retain all rights to your Customer Content. Subject to your settings and agreements, you grant us a limited license to process Customer Content to provide and improve the services, implement safety measures, and comply with law.
5. Privacy & Security
Our processing of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for obtaining necessary consents and providing any required notices for data you submit.
6. Acceptable Use—APIs & Rate Limits
- Respect published rate limits and fair usage policies.
- No stress testing, automated scraping, or reverse engineering.
- No removal of watermarks, notices, or safety instrumentation.
7. Output & Attribution
RI provides scores, insights, and suggestions to assist communication. You are responsible for reviewing and applying output appropriately. Where attribution requirements are specified, you agree to follow them.
8. Intellectual Property
RI, including all models, metrics, algorithms, datasets, UI, and documentation, is owned by Artifex Knowledge Engineering (Pty) Ltd and its licensors. No rights are granted except as expressly stated. You grant us a royalty-free, worldwide license to use feedback you provide to improve RI.
9. Third-Party Services
RI may integrate with third-party services subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and disclaim all liability arising from their use.
10. Warranties & Disclaimers
RI is provided “as is.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Outputs may be probabilistic or heuristic and can contain errors.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the fees you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
12. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service or users. You may stop using RI at any time. Sections intended to survive termination will do so.
13. Governing Law
Unless otherwise required by local law, these Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Venue will be the competent courts located in South Africa.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
