This Privacy Policy explains how Relational Intelligence (“RI”, “we”, “us”, “our”) processes personal information when you use our website, demos, and APIs. We are committed to privacy-by-design, data minimization, security, and transparency.
What we collect
- Account & Contact Data: name, email, company and similar details you provide.
- Usage Data: logs, device/browser metadata, and diagnostics to improve reliability.
- Content You Submit: text you send to our demos/APIs for analysis (we support optional redaction modes).
How we use data
- To provide, maintain, and secure our services.
- To respond to support requests and communicate updates.
- To improve models and features (where permitted and subject to contractual settings).
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Legal bases (GDPR & POPIA)
Where applicable, we process personal data based on: (i) performance of a contract, (ii) legitimate interests (e.g., securing and improving RI), (iii) consent (when required), and/or (iv) legal obligations.
Your rights
- Access, Rectification, Deletion: request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data.
- Restriction & Objection: restrict processing or object where we rely on legitimate interests.
- Portability: receive your data in a portable format where applicable.
- Consent withdrawal: when processing is based on consent.
International transfers
We may process data in multiple regions. When transferring personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) where required.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No method is 100% secure, but we continuously work to strengthen our posture.
Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Demo content may be deleted or anonymized on a rolling basis (see product-specific notices).

GDPR (EEA/UK)

- Legal bases: contract, legitimate interests, consent (where required), legal obligations.
- Rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, complaint to a supervisory authority.
- Transfers: safeguarded via recognized mechanisms where applicable.
POPIA (South Africa)
- Conditions for lawful processing observed (accountability, processing limitation, purpose specification, etc.).
- Data subject rights: access, correction/deletion, objection to processing, and complaints to the Information Regulator.
- Operator/processing agreements used where third parties assist in processing.
CCPA / CPRA (California)
- Disclosures: categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, and sharing practices.
- Rights: know/access, delete, correct, opt-out of sale/share, limit use of sensitive personal information, non-discrimination.
- We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning; if our practices change, we will update this policy and provide controls.
Subprocessors
We may use vetted service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, logging). We require appropriate data protection terms with each provider.
Children
RI is not directed to children. Do not submit personal data of children without appropriate consent and legal basis.
